Greg Barnes is the founding leader of Halftime Talent Solutions, and serves as senior consultant for a variety of national and international clients. Greg developed the operating model for Halftime Talent Solutions in partnership with the Board of Trustees of OneHundredX as a way to bring cost-effective, high-quality management recruiting and talent acquisition services to the faith-based nonprofit community.

Greg Barnes is the founding leader of Halftime Talent Solutions, and serves as senior consultant for a variety of national and international clients. Greg developed the operating model for Halftime Talent Solutions in partnership with the Board of Trustees of OneHundredX as a way to bring cost-effective, high-quality management recruiting and talent acquisition services to the faith-based nonprofit community.

During more than 25 years in retained executive search and global recruitment strategy consulting, Greg has consistently built innovative and effective recruitment processes for his clients. He combines rapid candidate identification and development with sensitivity to matching the right professionals to the unique culture and specific mission objectives of each client.

Prior to the launch of Halftime Talent Solutions, Greg served simultaneously as vice president of U.S. Search Operations and managing director of Global Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice for Futurestep, the recruitment process and talent solutions subsidiary of Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY). Under Greg’s leadership, the U.S. Search Team successfully placed high-demand candidates in key manager, senior manager and director roles in sales/marketing, business development, finance/accounting, information services, human resources, facilities operations, and clinical/technical positions. As managing director for the Global Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice, Greg worked with talented business development and client service professionals in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific/Austrasia.

Before joining Futurestep in 2005, Greg was a senior client partner in the executive search division of Korn/Ferry’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice for eight years. From 2000 to 2005 he led Korn/Ferry’s Houston operations as office managing partner.

In the decade before coming to Korn/Ferry in 1997, Greg was founder and chief executive officer of Alliance Search Management, a national retained executive search firm.

Greg received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion/Psychology from Baylor University and earned a Master of Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas.

Kathy Wills Wright serves as the Executive Vice President for Halftime Talent Solutions leading new business development and client engagement coordination. Her twenty-five years of experience includes White House and Cabinet level (Departments of State and Transportation) personnel and staffing leadership.  During President George W. Bush’s first term she was responsible for candidate selection and screening related to Presidential appointments, ambassadorships, boards, commissions, and UN delegations while she was serving as Senior Advisor and White House Liaison to Secretary of State.  In President Bush’s second term Kathy was named Special Assistant to the President for Legislation and Policy in the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives.  She also served as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director and for the USA Freedom Corp, promoting American volunteerism both nationally and around the world.  While serving in the White House, she also directed the White House Christian Fellowship, a weekly meeting hosting national and international Christian leaders.

During the final days of President Bush’s second term Kathy moved from government to private sector leadership consulting.  Her short-term projects included executive operations management with the Legacy PAC and fund-raising strategy development for Americans for Prosperity.   In 2010, while serving on Baylor University’s Board of Regents, Kathy was recruited to serve Baylor University’s newly named President Ken Starr as his Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships.  She also was appointed Interim Director of Development, where she helped launch President Starr’s personal commitment to raising $100M in new student scholarship funding.   In 2012 Kathy was tapped to serve as Deputy Personnel Director for the Romney Readiness Project/Presidential Transition Team.

Throughout her career Kathy has been recognized for her keen eye for talent and for the thoroughness and effectiveness of the personnel screening and selection processes she has implemented and managed.  She is a recognized thought leader in marketing, PR/communications and strategic brand management in for-profit and non-profit organizations, as well as government and academic institutions.  Her early work as the Director of Communications for Dallas Theological Seminary and Director of Marketing for Thomas Nelson Publishers as well as her service as a Trustee of the Trinity Forum and board member of the C.S. Lewis Institute, in addition to her work as a representative for a number of faith-based authors have given her a deep and rich network of contacts and relationships that also add great value to our firm’s suite of client solutions.

Kathy holds a BS and MS in the field of Education from Baylor University, where she is currently serving her second term on the Board of Regents. She is married to Dr. Don Wright, who serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health and Director of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the Department of Health and Human Services. They reside in Arlington, Virginia.

Rachel Barnes is responsible for implementing the search strategy for each opportunity as well as maintaining the organization’s various web and social media presences. Her extensive background in information systems, database design and internet technology has provided her with an exceptional background for “leaving no stone unturned” — performing thorough candidate sourcing utilizing the Halftime proprietary database as well as other credible database sources. She especially enjoys her new role managing the emails, tweets, blogs and other communications between Halftime Talent Solutions and its clients, candidates, friends and followers.

She began her career with Atlantic Richfield Oil and Gas holding a variety of positions in their Information Systems organization. Beginning as a statistical programmer supporting the Prudhoe Bay Revenue Redistribution project, she ultimately managed the Houston office’s information technology data center. Leaving ARCO after 10 years, Rachel began her own consulting, training and software design company which she has led for over 20 years. Specializing in database design and web integration, her clients have included both private and public organizations, large and small.

Rachel is a native Texan, born and raised in El Paso. Rachel graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.B.A. in Information Systems and Accounting and received her M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Houston. She currently resides in Dallas with her husband and enjoys music, gardening and is an avid astronomer.

Laura Weaver is a search consultant with Halftime Talent Solutions, bringing many years of experience of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition experience to the team. Laura’s career began in New York, where she managed recruiting and training for various institutional trading divisions of Lehman Brothers over an eight-year period. She later moved to Dallas and started her own business, which focused on contingency and retained searches for mid- to senior-level positions.

Laura then worked on a talented team of professionals at Dean Foods, where they built out strong capabilities in Talent Management. She was responsible for searches across the organization in departments including Finance, Tax, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal, Marketing, Procurement and IT. She moved to the company’s new state-of-the-art plant in 2012 with responsibility for fast-paced recruiting to ensure the success of new lines being added to the business.

Laura has recently begun working with children’s homes in Southeast Asia and looks forward to seeing how these children will continue growing with a Kingdom-focused purpose. Laura graduated from Mary Baldwin College with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Laura and her husband, Ed, live in Dallas.

With over 25 years’ experience as a senior human resources leader, John’s mission is to assist faith-based and faith-motivated enterprises to develop their talent to the highest levels of engagement.

John begins with a strategic understanding of the organization’s vision and mission assessing their leadership and organizational alignments, and provides human resource systems, processes, policies, data or specific talent to help the organization effectively deliver on their mission.  John uncompromisingly pledges to manage and help his clients deliver excellence in all they do.  His strengths play to employee attraction and retention, employee engagement, benefit design, wellness, leadership coaching and performance management.

John’s human resource leadership includes Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Pursuant, a philanthropic professional services firm; Vice President, HR for ITC^Deltacom, a $500M telecommunications service provider, and has held HR executive and leadership positions with technology services firms including EDS, Clearwire Communications, ActionSystems, and MCI Systemhouse.

John is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a worldwide organization for HR professionals, where he previously served as an HR certification instructor, and has achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).  He has been a featured blogger on workforce trends for RCR Wireless News, a leading news and information source for the wireless industry.

After earning a BA degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas, John has remained an avid supporter of the arts, and performs as a jazz trombonist on his personal time.  He resides in Dallas, TX, and has been married 39 years to his high school sweetheart.  They are active members of All Saints Anglican Church in Dallas and spend as much time as possible with their three children and nine grandchildren.

Janna Vient is a Search Consultant with Halftime Talent Solutions, lending her experience with faith-based nonprofits and recruitment to reach potential candidates for our clients. Janna earned her bachelors in Business Management from Azusa Pacific University. Since graduating in 2006, Janna has obtained both her insurance and real estate licenses. She has worked in variety of capacities in recruiting and placement, politics, real estate and raising capital. Before moving to Hawaii, Janna helped manage a real estate program in California pairing private investors with families losing their homes to foreclosure. The program was able to help 45 families stay in their homes with the option to repurchase once their credit was cured. Janna was also involved politically in her community by helping to manage a mayoral candidate’s campaign. During that time she helped raise campaign funds, coordinated all volunteers, organized the candidates speaking engagements and helped manage day to day operations. She also had the opportunity to serve locally a national organization called Pinnacle Forum. Janna helped organize community events, speakers, fundraising and took minutes in board meetings. This provided Janna the opportunity to be actively involved with influential local leaders in serving the community. Community is very important to Janna. Through Pinnacle Forum, Janna was active in bringing LaRed’s Principles and Values to the local schools. This process included coordinating training sessions, fundraising and gathering volunteers.

Janna and her husband reside in Honolulu. She is currently involved in the worship team and community outreach through her church New Hope Oahu.

Executive Assistant / Project Coordinator

Jessica Boyer acts as Executive Assistant to the company President, Greg Barnes, and serves as Project Coordinator at Halftime Talent Solutions. She helps move projects toward completion by performing project and office administration tasks, which typically include production and distribution, file management, data collection, report creation, proofreading, research, and team collaboration.

Jessica also has previous experience in customer service and restaurant management. She was on a CARES Team with Apartment Life where she learned about event planning, budgeting, creating event calendars, and had the chance to minister to residents and management at the property.

Jessica graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with her Bachelor’s Degree in University Studies, and has gone back to work on her Master of Arts in Communication. When she’s not working, she is usually with her family and friends, but also loves to travel! She has been on a few missions trips to places like Germany, Finland, Denmark, Mexico, and the Philippines, and while she has enjoyed all the places she has traveled, Texas will always be home.

Gary Dungan serves the Halftime Talent Solutions team as Accounting Coordinator. Gary’s previous experience with Leadership Network as a Program Coordinator for nearly ten years makes him a valuable asset to Halftime Talent Solutions. His attention to detail makes him a great fit for his responsibilities which include monthly expense reporting and invoicing clients. His favorite part of the job? “It is rewarding to work with people and organizations that are making a positive difference in the world.”

In addition to his work at Halftime Talent Solutions, Gary also has a part-time job with Storyline Christian Community as the Team Administrator and Bookkeeper. He enjoys getting involved in church activities and community outreach events.

Gary grew up on a cattle ranch in McKinney, TX, but has lived in Uptown Dallas since 1985. He enjoys living less than a mile from the office and avoiding the rush hour commute.

Lynn has worked as an international HR advisor, coaching, training, planning, and developing leadership for a variety of companies. Prior to her current role she held a number of global HR leadership roles in the software, cellular and semiconductor industries, leading worldwide growth strategies for start-up investor-backed companies and large-cap publicly traded enterprises in many parts of the world. Early in her distinguished career she worked for Ernst & Young as a Sr. Manager in the Global Employee Service Center and later for Deloitte & Touche as the International Implementation Specialist managing expatriate projects for global employees at companies including Dow Chemical, Proctor & Gamble and Chevron.
